💬Participants FAQ

🌐 Can I join from any chain or token?

You can pay with any supported asset from the list shown in the checkout. Calyx routes the swap/bridge for you—no manual bridging or extra steps required. If your asset or chain isn’t listed, it isn’t supported for that sale.

👛 Do I receive tokens after I participate in a sale?

Not straight away. You must wait for the end of the sales to then receive your tokens. These will be claimable via your Calyx account.

👛 Which wallets can I use? Do I need a passkey?

Use any supported wallet listed in the Connect dialog. Passkeys are optional; they’re a convenient way to sign in without a seed phrase. If you prefer a wallet extension or mobile wallet, pick it from the list.

🧭 What are the sale types?

  • Fixed price: You buy at a posted price until time or caps run out.

  • Price discovery (pro-rata): You deposit during a window; final allocation is computed at close. The sale page clearly states which one you’re joining.

⏱️ Why is my transaction pending?

Cross-chain routes take time to confirm. The page shows a Pending state until the route settles. If it takes longer than expected, keep the tab open; you’ll see a success or failure message and a transaction/route ID.

💸 What fees do I pay?

You’ll see all fees before you confirm: network fees along the route and any platform/project fee shown on the summary. If a fee isn’t shown in the UI, it isn’t charged.

📊 What affects my final allocation?

  • Fixed price: Your allocation equals the paid amount divided by the price (subject to caps/limits).

  • Price discovery: It’s calculated at close based on total deposits versus tokens offered. Minor differences can occur due to token decimals and on-chain rounding.

📅 When and where can I claim?

The project sale page shows the how much tokens are claimable.

🔁 Can I cancel or get a refund?

Confirmed on-chain purchases in fixed-price sales are typically final. Some price-discovery mechanisms allow withdrawals during the window or refund unfilled portions at close. The sale page details the exact rules.

🎚️ Why is my estimate different from what I received?

Estimates can change due to route updates, price movement, and fees. For discovery sales, the estimate can shift as others deposit; the final allocation is set at close.

🚦 Are there limits or allowlists?

Projects may set min/max per wallet, allowlists, KYC, or regional restrictions. Your eligibility and remaining limit (if any) are shown on the page. Ineligible wallets can’t submit purchases.

🪙 When can I trade?

Trading becomes available when the project enables liquidity and publishes market links. Listing does not guarantee depth; expect higher volatility near launch. Always use the official token address from the sale page.

🧾 Where do I see receipts?

After confirmation, you’ll see a transaction hash/route ID on the success screen and under My Purchases. Allocations and claims are recorded on-chain and are queryable via explorers.

🧰 I sent funds but don’t see them. What now?

First, check the transaction hash. If it failed, funds remain in your wallet and you can retry. If it’s pending, wait for confirmations. If it succeeded but you don’t see an allocation, refresh the page; the UI syncs periodically. If the problem persists, contact us via Changelog & Support with your wallet address and tx hash.

🪵 Do I ever need to bridge or send to an address manually?

No. Always use the sale page. Never send assets to an address you saw in a DM, chat, or screenshot. The checkout handles routing; manual transfers aren’t credited.

🧠 How do I verify a sale is official?

Start from the project’s official links, check the sale URL domain, and verify the token contract address on the page. Cross-check announcements on the project’s channels. If something looks off, don’t connect your wallet.

🔐 What data do you collect? What about KYC?

Connecting a wallet shares your public address. Some projects require KYC/allowlist checks using an external provider; details and links appear on the sale page. Calyx itself does not request your seed phrase or private keys—ever.

🧮 Taxes, accounting, and reports?

You can export your purchases and claims from My Purchases (when available) and reference your on-chain transactions. For tax treatment, consult a qualified professional in your jurisdiction.

🧯 The sale didn’t reach its goal (soft cap). What happens?

Outcomes depend on the project’s rules: some refund, some extend, others proceed at a lower raise. The sale page states the soft-cap logic and what happens at close.
