# Sales Overview

Joining a sale on Calyx is designed to feel like any other checkout: connect once, choose what you want to pay with, and confirm. No manual bridges or extra swaps.

### 📋 What You’ll Need

Use any supported wallet (or a passkey) that has enough funds for your purchase.

### 🖐️ The Checkout Flow

1. **Connect** your wallet or passkey.
2. Select the **project** you want to participate in and visit its official sale page.
3. **Pick the chain** and the **asset** you’ll pay with.
4. Enter the **amount** and review the estimate and fees.
5. **Confirm** in your wallet and keep the tab open.
6. Wait for confirmation - your allocation and claim schedule will be visible under **My Purchases**.

As long as you have assets on one of these network, you will be able to participate in a Calyx sale:

### 🔧 How It Works

Calyx routes your payment across chains in the background via Near Intents. You see an estimated receive amount and the fees before you confirm. When the route settles, your allocation appears on the sale page together with your claim schedule.

**Ways to participate**

* With your connected wallet.
* Via QR code (External wallet). You can use any external wallet by depositing assets with the QR code provided

### 💰 Fees, Limits, and Eligibility

* Network fees depend on the route and network you use.
* Any platform or project fees are shown before you confirm.
* Some projects set per-wallet caps, allowlists, KYC, or regional restrictions - the page will clearly state your status.

### ⏳ After You Pay

Routes can take a moment to finalize, usually from a few seconds for fast network to several minutes for others (e.g. Bitcoin). The page shows a pending state until it’s done.\
If the sale uses phases (e.g., an early discount or per-phase cap), your purchase is attributed to the phase it lands in.

### Types of Sales

**Fixed price** - buy at a fixed price until time or macium allocation runs out.

* Example: Project A sells 10M tokens at $0.01 with a 2 weeks campaign
  * Once the 10M tokens are sold, the project is considered as completed.
  * OR the 2 weeks have passed.

**Price discovery** - deposit during a window; final allocation is computed at close.

* Example: Project B sells 10M tokens over 2 weeks
  * At the end of the 2 weeks, participants deposited $250k into the sale
  * The entire 10M tokens will then be distributed pro-rata of what participants put in, with a resulting price of $0.025

### 📈 Claiming and Trading

Claiming follows the schedule published on the sale page (often a cliff, then linear unlocks).

* Your token will be claimable via the **Project Page** under Your Allocation tab
* Tokens are streamed linearly over the vesting time, so there are no sharp unlocks but rather a continuous flow.

### 🔒 Safety

Always double-check the official sale URL and token contract links from the project page.\
Never share seed phrases.\
Only commit what you can afford to lose.

### 🛠️ Troubleshooting

* **Pending longer than expected** → Wait for confirmations; the page updates automatically.
* **Failed transaction** → Funds remain in your wallet; reconnect and retry.
* **Wrong wallet/network** → Switch and refresh.
* **Blocked by eligibility or cap** → The page will state the reason (allowlist, region, or limit reached).
