💬Founders FAQ
❓ Founder FAQ
🧭 Can Calyx work with our existing token?
Yes. Bridge your existing token to NEAR first so participants can claim there. We’ll help select and test the bridging route, verify addresses/decimals, and document the official NEAR token address on your sale page.
🌱 What if we’re creating a new token?
You can (a) deploy on NEAR first, or (b) deploy on another chain and bridge to NEAR before launch. In both cases, claims are enabled on NEAR at TGE; you can extend to other chains later via your bridging policy.
🌐 From which chains can buyers participate?
Participants can pay with supported assets/chains shown in the checkout. NEAR Intents routes the swap/bridge in the background—no manual bridging required from users.
🧪 Which sale types are available?
Fixed Price — Buy at a posted price until caps/time run out.
Price Discovery (Pro-Rata) — Deposit during a window; final allocations are computed at close. Additional mechanisms (e.g., bonding curves, multi-phase windows) may be introduced later with guardrails.
🧾 What are the requirements to list?
KYB for creators.
A standard token, verified contracts, timelocks for sensitive actions.
Clear tokenomics and vesting (dates in UTC), risk/eligibility disclosures, and a basic GTM plan (before/during/after campaign).
🧱 Can we enforce KYC/allowlists or regional restrictions?
Yes, optional and project-controlled. You choose the provider/policy; the sale page shows each buyer’s eligibility status.
💸 How do fees work?
All fees are disclosed in-app before launch and to buyers at checkout. Today there is no protocol fee. Platform terms can include a % of the raise and/or a token allocation. There are no failure fees.
💧 What happens after the sale for liquidity?
You can seed initial liquidity and link to supported DEX routes. Optionally, configure rules-based (“agentic”) liquidity to maintain depth or rebalance across chains. Avoid fragmenting liquidity across too many chains at the start.
📅 How flexible is vesting?
Founders select a simple schedule (e.g., cliff + linear). Use exact UTC dates. Keep team unlocks transparent—especially if they coincide with public unlocks.
🎯 How do caps and soft caps work?
You set global soft/hard caps. If a soft cap isn’t met, the sale is considered as failed and participants will be refunded in the raise token (USDC) in their Calyx account.
🔁 Can we change parameters after announcing?
Minimize changes. If unavoidable (e.g., date shift), give clear notice (≥ 24h recommended) and align with Calyx team to update the sale page, your docs, and official channels. Parameters cannot change once the sale is live.
🧩 Can we run allowlisted rounds?
Yes. You can run different phases with an allowlist/KYC, then a public phase.
🧮 Where do we receive funds?
Proceeds settle per the route selected at configuration (e.g., designated treasury wallets).
📣 What GTM support do we get?
A pragmatic plan around your launch:
Pre-campaign (~4 weeks): story, one-pager, assets, timeline, partner amplification.
During: pinned sale link, founder thread/AMA/Space, regular progress updates.
After (8–12 weeks): raise results, circulating supply, milestones, utility rollouts.
🧭 What do we publish for tokenomics?
A table that sums to 100%, the % sold in the launch, exact vesting dates, and any liquidity/LP lock policy. When possible, add an external review by a tokenomics firm or expert and link it.
🔗 Can we be multi-chain on day one?
Claims are on NEAR at launch. You can add other chains later using your bridging policy. Publish a token address registry so buyers can verify official contracts per chain.
⚖️ Who handles legal/regulatory matters?
You do. Calyx is not a legal advisor or underwriter and does not guarantee liquidity or performance. Use your own counsel for jurisdictional requirements; we provide controls (KYC/allowlists/regions) and clear disclosures.
⏱️ How long to go live?
Plan ~4 weeks for pre-campaign GTM plus time for technical prep (token on NEAR, address verification, dry-run). Once assets and policies are final, setup itself is fast.
